Now that multiple links within a single cell are possible in Google Sheets (Woot!) we wanted to see if it’s possible to embed Google Sheets on a WordPress Post or Page. And guess what? It is! Woot, again!
This is something we have wanted to do for ages, and after styling the chart with preferred colors and customized fonts, the next question was: Will this chart refresh in real time as users update data? The answer? Yes!
Here is an example showing that it is indeed possible to embed Google Sheets on a WordPress Post:
The next question would be: Is it possible to embed this chart underneath an Infogram Map? We know Infogram allows iFrames, so let’s check it out…Woot! The answer is yes. But will it interact with the Infogram Maps above? No.
However, it is possible to move the tabs to the top of the page like so. But when we try to embed the chart in a WordPress post, the tabs automatically default to the bottom…unless…ooh! There is a Chrome Extension that allows you to view tabs across the top of the page!
OK, we think this is a good start and will continue experimenting because this is something one of our clients could make good use of in the future.
